How are you doing?

I am managing. First months made 100 masks for
Friends Family Charity and nurses head scarves.
Talk a lot on phone to family and friends. Go walking in forest behind apartment building to relax. Feel
Very fortunate to live in this area as I lived in country
All my life until two years ago. I also meditate and
Watch very few news casts.

Are you isolating with someone else, if so who (relationships, not names i.e.. father, sister, roommates, spouse, your children etc.)?

No I am on my own but have my daughter and
Sister to call in emergency.

How has COVID-19 affected your home life? How are you passing the time?

Limited my ability to go do things I enjoy, such
As my volunteer work and socializing with friends
And family.

How has it affected your work, education, etc.? Are you an essential worker?

No

What about the outbreak and response to it has you most concerned?

The future of my 4 Grandsons who are 16, 20, 21,24.
The huge financial burden this has caused to our
Country and the world, and the possible polarized
and isolated world that might result because of it.

Do you know someone who has or has had the virus? How has this affected them?

No

How well do you think the government and other leaders are responding to the pandemic? What do you think about the local, national and international media coverage?

Both federal and provincial teams have done an
Amazing job! Local has been good and complete
As have most international, I find most top USA
Stations are manic. I get my info from iPad CBC
CTV London and avoid other broadcasters.

What challenges are ahead? How and how fast do you think normal life should be restored?

Huge challenges for mental health providers over
the job losses I see in our future and the changes
and uncertainty this upheaval is causing people.

What do you think will be different after the pandemic? What do you think should be different? What will be better or worse?

Everything. All citizens provided a roof over their
head, food and the basics so they feel they belong.
I have noticed in my apartment complex people
Have become kinder and respect the mask advice
distancing etc. We’ve noticed one another with
Kindness....I hope this continues.

Do you have anything else to say about the COVID-19 pandemic?

I believe it may change the world in a good way
