-
This portrait covers the topic of a traditional Christmas in Mexico which spans from mid December until the beginning of February. Each significant date is touched upon followed by a comparison to some Canadian traditions. This video explains the combination of cultures for the interviewee’s children including the Canadian Santa and the Mexican Reyes Magos. Finally, she reminisces from when she was a child by describing her favourite parts of the holiday. The interviewee’s family is very religious which is large part of her identity and culture. This is reflected through her excitement of this holiday and her explanation of the true meaning of Christmas.
