June 18th, 2017 is a day that will go down in the history books as the largest recorded tornado outbreak in Québec history and one of the largest in Canadian history. Numerous supercell thunderstorms developed in southern Québec, with most appearing to have strong potential for tornado formation. This severe weather outbreak resulted in the formation of at least 11 tornadoes across an area spanning more than 400 kilometres.
