Nurses House, Queen Alexandra Sanatorium (AFC 455-S1-F210)

 Designed by Watt & Blackwell, Architects, the Nurses House was built in 1918 for the Queen Alexandra Sanatorium located at 600 Sanatorium Road in London, ON. Opening in April 1910, the sanatorium facility was created as a treatment hospital and rest home for patients suffering from tuberculosis. Watt & Blackwell designed many buildings for this institution. It was renamed the Beck Memorial Sanatorium in 1949 and continued in use until September 1972.  The Child Parent Research Institute (CPRI) currently occupies the site (2020).
