Description
This project is a digital documentation of an Arabic and Islamic influential leader in the London community. The project primarily focuses on the story and growth of Dr. Munir El Kassem after he sought refuge to Canada with his family in his early 20s. In the interview, Dr. Munir reflects back on the Civil War that led to him moving countries and beginning once again from scratch. He reminisced back on how he had to restudy his degree, and work hard to rebuild himself in the foreign land. 42 years later, Dr. Munir explains how he came to be a community leader and an influential member amongst the Arabs and Muslims in London. He talks about his position and what he does through his platform as a public speaker, and how he uses his own ways and knowledge to impact generations.
