Last summer I bought all the required supplies for a retirement project: watercolours painting. My wife humored me, thinking they'd sit in the corner of his studio (one of their kids' spare bedrooms) to collect dust.

A retired electrician, I knew a dormant artist was just waiting to be awakened.

I've dusted off the supplies and started painting during self-isolation, my wife and I needed to do because we'd travelled. I've been sharing his daily paintings with family members and they've encouraged me to continue.


I haven't missed doing a daily painting, some of them turn out and others are very disappointing, I chalk that up to the learning curve!

I've made BD cards, Easter cards.

Thank goodness for picture ideas I use from Pinterest's, I can't wait to get outdoors and capture original subjects once the weather changes. (April 23, 2020)
